Master Smith Quillon Dagger
This quillon dagger has a blade that is approximately 10.5” long. The blade consists of 315 layers laddered W’s and has been hand forged from 1084 and 15N20 high carbon steels. The guard, windowed pommel cup, and pommel nut have all been hand crafted from silicone bronze and have also been antiqued to create a very dark appearance. The two spacers are also silicon bronze while the pommel is made from 1084/15N20 Damascus. The handle is hand fluted African Blackwood with a twisted wire inlay of bronze. This is a beautiful example of a renaissance era quillon dagger. Every piece and detail of this dagger has been painstakingly hand forged and hand crafted from raw materials to finished product by American Bladesmith Society Master Bladesmith Charles Carpenter. In Fact, this is actually the Dagger that was presented to the Pannel of Master Smith Judges for my Master Smith Test earlier this year. I am proud and honored to now be included in the 117 Master Bladesmiths in the world. The fact that this is one of the Master Smith test blades makes this an extremely unique opportunity to add a one-of-a-kind blade to your collection.
This dagger would be an exquisite centerpiece to any collection.
