9.75” San Mai Damascus Fighter
This beautiful San Mai fighter features a hand forged and finished blade that is 9.75” long. San Mai is simply a Japanese term that simply means three layer. The core of this blade is hand forged Damascus of 1084 and 15N20 high carbon steels while the two outer layers are from solid 15N20. As with all blades from Big River Forge it has been forged in house by ABS Journeyman Smith Charles Carpenter. The guard and spacers are also made of Damascus steel while the spacers are silicone bronze and stainless steel. The handle is made of a beautiful Desert Ironwood burl. It also comes complete with a custom fitted hand stitched, and fully lined sheath. As with every piece from Big River Forge. The entire package has been completely hand forged and hand finished
