$650.00

This Beautiful Chef’s Knife has a 7” blade hand forged from 80CRV2 High Carbon Steel that will take an edge easily had hold a razor-sharp edge for a very long time. The overall length of the knife is 11.5” This Chef’s knife features an ergonomic handle forward design that makes it extremely easy for the user to pinch forward on the blade but yet be able to have the control of the handle in the palm of the hand. It has been built with a full hidden tang construction for an extremely tough and durable kitchen tool that will last a lifetime. It also features a stainless-steel bolster and a beautiful Desert Ironwood handle with a very attractive angular design shape that enhances its beauty. This knife also includes a custom, hand tooled, and hand stitched protective scabbard that will protect the blade edge while not in use. This knife as well as the scabbard has been designed and hand created by American Bladesmith Society Master Smith Charles Carpenter.

The new trend in the custom knife maker world seems to be to have a steel supplier water jet out a blade blank and then send it to someone else to grind and heat treat. By the time the (maker) receives the blade the only thing remaining to to in order to finish the knife is to add the makers mark and install the pre-shaped handle scales. I personally don’t believe in (making) knives this way. I believe that every step of the process of making the knives I create, and sell should be done one hundred percent by me and my hands in order to get my maker’s mark. You don’t have to agree with me, but I simply believe that if a customer is buying a knife from a custom maker, it should be a knife that is hand forged and hand finished by the maker’s hands alone.
