This extremely unique Bowie was built to tell its history and the story of its life. Instead of the Damascus pattern fading over time, this knife will actually reveal more and more of its Texas Wind Damascus pattern over time with use. The black oxides from etching have been left on the blade, leaving it with a very dark appearance that contrasts beautifully with brightness of the wide layers of the high nickel 15N20 steel on each side. It has a 7” Clip Point Blade with a false edge. The blade is approximately 317 Layers of Texas wind Damascus of 1084 and 15N20 high carbon steels. The guard and collar are both stainless steel and the knurled spacer is silicone bronze. The handle is African Black Wood that shows it’s dark and light grain structure beautifully and gives the knife an overall length of 13”. Every aspect of this knife was hand forged and hand finished by American Bladesmith Master Smith - Charles Carpenter
This Bowie also comes with a custom fit, full grain leather sheath that has been hand tooled with the same pattern that shows on the knife’s blade. The sheath was also hand tooled and hand stitched by Master Bladesmith - Charles Carpenter
